Execute Schedules by Time or Event
Run an existing CRD schedule on demand or in response to an event using the documented execution operations.
Before you begin
Authenticate with the CRD API. Identify the schedule using the identifier required by the selected operation. For an overview of schedule discovery, see Discover Folders and Schedules.
Choose an execution trigger
- To execute a schedule on a time-based request, use ExecuteScheduleOnTimeAsync.
- To execute a schedule in response to an event, use ExecuteScheduleByEventAsync.
These are separate operations. Use the request fields and values documented for the chosen operation; do not infer one operation's body from the other or from a schedule creation request.
Check the result
Read the response schema for the selected execution operation and retain the identifiers it documents. Use GetExecutionStatus to check status when applicable. For ongoing monitoring and recovery, see Monitor, Recover, and Reconcile Executions.
For paths, methods, required fields, and response codes, use the linked API operation references.
